Techno jersey

In our latest OTTOBRE woman magazine, autumn-winter 5/2014, we’ve used techno jersey for both dresses and pants. We love this modern knit because it’s really easy to work with and the finished garments look so good.
Techno jersey is a heavyweight interlock knit, it’s quite firm and bi-stretch (stretch/recovery 20%). The fabric we used for our designs weighs 373gr/m² and is a blend of viscose, polyamide and elastane. The viscose content makes it breathable so it’s ideal for sportswear; we chose to combine coral and ivory techno jersey for this cool and sporty dress.

We used black techno jersey for the comfortable workout pants, it has just the right amount of stretch to allow free movement but will retain its shape – no baggy knees here! We added piping to the outer leg seams for a professional look.

Techno jersey can also be made into an elegant and flattering dress. This deceptively simple vivid blue dress has a slight A-line cut. The firm quality of the jersey makes the dress very flattering, close fitting but not clingy.
You’ll find techno jersey in our Etsy shop here.
There are four lovely colors:gray, ivory, orange and turquoise.

Hello, we’re back!

As you may have noticed we’ve been a bit absent over the last month or so. We’ve been very, very busy moving our sewing studio to our new home just next door and at the same time preparing our fantastic winter kids magazine (you can have a sneak peak here). Or go to our website to leaf thru the online edition.

Now that the magazine is winging its way to your letterboxes and news-stands and we have finally tidied away every last button and spool of thread in the studio we've planned a little catch-up time so over the next week we’ll be posting a few extras from the latest autumn kids issue and our most recent woman magazine before sharing some of the gorgeous photos we didn’t have room for in our new winter kids edition. Watch this space!

In the meantime here is a quick snap of our new studio where we are already starting work on our spring kids issue.
All assorted according to the colors.
Here is our sewing machines, ribbings, scissors, threads and buttons.
Our lovely trainees from Alsfeldt sewing school have been busy and
now our chairs have got new covers made of Marimekko fabrics.

We did not forgot our old friend.
